The Teatro Grande opens its doors to reveal its sights, curiosities and fascinating history spanning more than 300 years.
In addition to the architecture and historical events that have traced centuries of alternations, from the Accademia degli Erranti to the success of the “bresciana” Madama Butterfly in 1904, the Teatro Grande can also be discovered through special itineraries for all ages.
DISCOVERING TEATRO GRANDE Duration 60 minutes. Full price €10, reduced €7 for Under30s and groups of at least 15 people, free admission for Under7s – This traditional itinerary allows you to admire the magnificent spaces of the Sala delle Statue, the Ridotto del Teatro and the Sala Grande.

CHE FAVOLA DI TEATRO! For Under 11s and families. Duration 60 minutes. € 7.00 – The tour reveals some of the most evocative stories of Brescia’s Teatro Grande, preserved in an ancient revolving showcase that boys and girls will be invited to operate. Seated in the spaces of the theatre, participants listen to stories and curiosities and can invent new stories surrounded by the magical atmosphere of the Grande. For this activity, the presence of at least one adult for every 2 children is required.

CACCIA AL TESORO DEL GRANDE For Under 11s and families. Duration 60 minutes. € 10.00 – Children discover the wonders of the theatre between quizzes and small skill games. The experience concludes with a snack at the Caffè del Teatro Grande – Berlucchi for the explorers. For this activity, the presence of at least one adult for every 2 children is required.

RACCONTAMI DEL GRANDE Recommended for Over65. Running time 90 minutes. €10.00 – From the post-war period to the present day, the halls of the city’s Teatro Massimo have not only hosted shows but also dances in the foyer, the old cinema and even famous boxers. The itinerary is an opportunity to bring our fathers and mothers, grandmothers and grandfathers to the theatre and relive together the memories of past years linked to the magnificent Teatro Grande. Each trail ends with a moment of conviviality over tea at the Caffè del Teatro Grande – Berlucchi.

GRAND TOUR – Duration 90 minutes – Much more than a visit, a real journey to discover the history, spaces and most interesting anecdotes linked to this wonderful place in Brescian history. The Grand Tour gives visitors access to evocative spaces, more and less well known, of the theatre, the backstage and the stage royal. The story is multi-voiced and is led by the workers and figures who inhabit the world of the Theatre and who know the Grand well.

MULTISENSORIAL ITINERARIES As part of its accessibility projects, the Foundation offers special exploratory experiences for the blind, visually impaired, deaf and hard of hearing people. On these occasions it is possible to get to know the fascination of the theatrical machine up close and also meet the people who live in the world of performance.

People with certified disabilities are granted a free ticket after contacting the Teatro Grande box office. In order to make the visit as welcoming as possible and to respond to any needs or information, please write to biglietteria@teatrogrande.it. We would also like to point out that some of the spaces may not be fully accessible due to technical requirements related to the theatre’s activities.
Access to the Teatro Grande is from the main entrance (Corso Zanardelli, 9) or from the accessible entrance without stairs in Piazzetta Paganora.
