The Teatro Grande is composed of several parts with different origins and stories.

After the monumental façade on Corso Zanardelli and the Sala delle Statue, the audience enters the Sala Grande and the Foyer (Ridotto).

From the Sala Grande, spectators can see the stage fairly well, but only the technicians can access it except during guided tours.
